There’s something extra special about returning to a family after a maternity session—when I’ve already seen the love, the excitement, and the anticipation. So when I walked into this sweet Centennial home to meet their brand new baby girl, it truly felt like a full-circle moment.
We had done their maternity shoot just a few weeks prior at Highlands Ranch Mansion. The session was full of laughter, tender moments, and that warm Colorado golden light. Watching them as expectant parents was beautiful. Now seeing them holding their baby girl in the same arms that once cradled her bump, was pure magic.
From the moment I arrived, baby girl was fast asleep. I mean—out. Completely peaceful. She let us swaddle, cuddle, and move her from crib to cozy blankets without a single fuss. Her little features—tiny lips, delicate eyelashes, and those brand-new fingers—looked absolutely angelic in the soft, natural light coming through the windows of their Centennial home.
There’s something so tender about photographing newborns in their own space. We captured her curled up in her nursery, resting in mom’s arms by the window, and snuggled on dad’s chest—each image filled with love and softness.
From Bump to Baby
This session felt like the perfect bookend to our maternity shoot together. Watching this mom and dad with so much love for their baby girl, reminded me why I love what I do.
These photos will live in albums, frames, and hearts—but more than that, they tell the story of a family growing, of love deepening, and of a beautiful new chapter beginning.
If you're in Centennial (or the Denver metro area) and want a relaxed, heart-centered newborn session at home, I’d love to chat. These early days fly by—but photos last forever.
