PARKER MATERNITY & NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER
As a maternity and newborn photographer, I've had the privilege of capturing countless precious moments for other families. Now, as my own baby's first birthday approaches, it's a time of reflection, gratitude, and nostalgia. Today, I want to share a bit about my personal journey, especially the remarkable experience I had giving birth at Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker.
The Joyful Arrival:
Parker Adventist Hospital holds a special place in my heart, as it's where I welcomed my son into the world. Whenever I am driving past Parker Adventist, I look over at the hospital and remember fondly my time there. The care and support provided by the staff was exceptional. I felt supported throughout my entire labor and delivery. I was very lucky to have a fantastic obstetrician, Dr Gavigan, who put me at ease throughout my entire pregnancy. On the day of my son's birth, it was actually Dr Gavigans day off work. However, he came in just to delivery my baby. After a very difficult experience with my first baby (not in the USA), it was a redemptive and healing experience with my second.
The Not-So-Typical First Meal Experience:
While many new mothers eagerly look forward to their first postpartum meal, I could not eat the first meals with both my baby's due to nausea. It turns out, every woman's postpartum journey is unique, and mine was no exception. For me, the real highlight wasn't the first meal but rather the first shower after a long and intense labor. The rejuvenating feeling of hot water was a welcome relief, surpassing any culinary delight. I highly recommend adding some shower steamers to your hospital bag for that first post-partum shower in the hospital.
As a maternity and newborn photographer, I've witnessed the beauty of countless first birthdays, but there's something uniquely special about celebrating the first year of my own child. The journey has been filled with love, growth, and immeasurable joy.
