DENVER NEWBORN LIFESTYLE SESSION

Choosing the right photographer for your newborn photography session is a crucial decision. It's essential to ensure that their style aligns with your preferences.

Do you appreciate the natural, unposed look of lifestyle photography? Or do you prefer the more structured and posed portrait photography? Take the time to review the photographer's portfolio to get a sense of their work and whether it resonates with your vision.

Considering the setting of the photoshoot is another important factor. Do you picture the session taking place in the comfort of your home, capturing the everyday life of your family in a familiar environment? Or do you prefer an outdoor location for a different backdrop?

When you are looking for a newborn photographer, pay attention to the following questions:

  • What style of photography do you like? Lifestyle photos or posed portraits?
  • Have you reviewed your potential photographer's portfolio?
  • Do you want the session to take place in your home, or at an outside location?
  • Do you want a newborn only session, or do you want family portraits to include the rest of your family members and/or pets?

WHAT BABY SAFETY MEASURES DO YOU TAKE?

Ensuring the health and safety of your family is my top priority. If I'm feeling unwell, I will promptly inform you to reschedule the session and avoid any potential risks. To maintain a secure environment, especially during indoor newborn sessions, I consistently wear an N95 mask. Upon entering your home, one of the first things I do is wash my hands thoroughly.

During the session, I adhere to a no-contact policy with your baby. I won't handle or touch your little one directly. Instead, I'll provide clear and gentle guidance on poses, ensuring you are comfortable with every step.

When needed, I may suggest wrapping your baby to capture those precious moments in a safe and secure manner. This ensures a worry-free and enjoyable experience while preserving the well-being of your family.

If you have any specific health-related concerns or questions, feel free to discuss them with me, and I'll do my best to address them. Your peace of mind matters. I am dedicated to creating a safe and memorable photography experience for you and your newborn.

HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION TAKE?

The session typically lasts between 1 to 2 hours. Though I understand the challenges that come with the first few weeks of welcoming a newborn. I strive to accommodate your needs and comfort level, so I'm flexible with the duration.

Typically, we wrap up within an hour, but I'm flexible. If your baby needs more settling time or if you prefer, I can stay longer.

Your comfort and satisfaction are my priorities. I'll make sure to capture the best shots while respecting your schedule and preferences.

DO YOU PROVIDE PROPS & LIGHTING?

No, lifestyle photographers use the natural light in your home. I will pose you near windows to capture soft, flattering light.

You will dress your baby in the clothes you already have at home, such as a neutral onesie. You may swaddle your baby or wrap them in a special blanket. Whereas, at a posed newborn session, babies are often dressed in outfits provided by the photographer. They may be swaddled/wrapped and placed into posed positions.
